Nobody is punishing you by filling your dashboard with any “crap”.
We are posting this kind of thing because it is fucking IMPORTANT.
If these types of bills get passed in America, then they affect THE ENTIRE WORLD. Any country with access to the internet will be affected. It sets precedent for other countries to potentially follow suit, and it could completely destroy websites, like Tumblr, that you visit every single day. So before you complain that something doesn’t involve you, think about it.
And you most certainly CAN do things. You can sign petitions, and educate yourself about what is going on, and see if there is something that a non-US citizen can do.
So, please, STFU.

I don’t live in the USA either, but I know we’re going to be just as fucked if this bill ever passes, because SOPA and PIPA will affect everyone, if not immediately or at the same time as they will America, then most certainly eventually.
So please, before you call what we’re doing “crap”, try to read what this is actually about and how much crappier things will be for you if people don’t fucking take action.
